Terms and Conditions

BOOKING CONDITIONS

Reservations:

 

50% Deposit of the total cost of your stay must be paid at the time of booking by card. The dates and prices of the stay will be confirmed by e-mail after payment of the deposit.

Remaining balance must be paid 7 days before the start of your stay by the same debit or credit card. After payment of the total cost of your stay, we will send you a voucher («bon de séjour») which includes all the necessary practical information.

We use a secure payment system. We will never ask you to send any bank details by email. Whichever payment method you choose by bank card, Visa, American Express or Mastercard, the debit of the balance will be made automatically 7 days before the arrival date of your holiday from the account used to make your booking.

For any payment method modifications prior to this date, please contact us.

In the case of reservations made less than 30 days before the beginning of the stay, the full cost of the stay is required on reservation.

Most of our stays include 7 nights, from Saturday to Saturday. You are reminded that the property to be rented out is for a certain number of people and may not under any circumstances be used by a greater number.

Shorter stays will be possible by prior arrangement if there are vacancies. The price per night will be £180 plus the standard cleaning charge of £80. Minimum stay 3 nights.

Cancellations and modifications


We require written confirmation for any cancellation or modification and will respond with written acknowledgement of receipt. In all cases the following amounts will be retained:


The total deposit for a cancellation less than 21 days before arrival date. 


100% of the total cost of the stay for a cancellation less than 8 days before arrival date or failure to arrive on the arrival date. No reimbursement can be made for any stay that is interrupted or shortened for any reason whatsoever. However, your stay can be re-scheduled for another date.

Please take out holiday cancellation, accident, theft and health insurance for your own peace of mind.

Our prices:


Prices indicated are in UK Sterling. You will have the opportunity to convert the price into other currencies. However, the payment of your holiday will be made in UK Sterling equivalent.

Additional charges:

There are additional services such as end of the stay cleaning £80.

A refundable deposit:

 

 A regulated sum against any damage/lost keys/extra cleaning/cigarette smoke or damage by pets, will be pre-authorised to your card 7 days before your stay. This will be refunded no more than seven days after you leave provided there has been no damage caused and subject to the inventory carried out on your departure. We would advise that you take out holiday insurance if you have not already done so.. Please notify us of any problems when you arrive.

Your stay:

The reservation of a stay implies that the present specified conditions are accepted. There are no rights to stay in the property once the holiday booking contract terminates. The house must be vacated at the end of the booking on the appointed day and time.  Variations in economic, world health conditions and prices can lead to a modification of prices before the signing of the contract or in the case of specific world health directions, during the stay. In any case insurance protection is essential for your peace of mind. Your attention is drawn to the fact that the buildings may look different when photos are taken with a wide-angle lens. Photos are only given by way of example and cannot be considered legally binding. Surface areas of the property are approximations. We cannot be held responsible for any road works or building work undertaken by the commune or by private individuals, near the site rented out.

Tourist tax and Eco-Recycling charge:


A tourist tax is collected by the owner on behalf of the commune of € to be confirmed This tax is to be paid either as a fixed charge or according to the number of night's stay per person (the amount is defined by the municipality of Thonon-les-Bains).
An Eco-Recycling charge may also be collected, towards the preservation of the environment and the sorting of waste onsite. This is to be paid as a fixed charge or according to the number of nights, depending on the establishment in question (its amount is to be confirmed € per day and per person).

Baby Equipment


This is not available.

Pets


Fee £20 per week. No nuisance to other clients (noise, hygiene, smell...).  Dangerous, aggressive animals, as well as "exotic pets" are not allowed. Please bring with you the animal's health record with proof of vaccinations.

Leisure activities


The information concerning activities are given as suggestions by the Tourist Offices or by other service-providers and may only be available at specific dates.

Cleaning


Linen is provided. The house should be given back clean and tidy. There is a mandatory professional cleaning charge of £80 at end of stay.

Stays from abroad and foreign nationals


You must possess all the necessary documents required by the regulations of the country visited: vaccinations, proof of identity, passport, driving licence, visa and insurance.

Young persons under the age of 18


Those under the age of 18 years old are the responsibility of their parents or accompanying adult, who made the booking.

Arrivals and departures


Arrival time 3:30pm on Saturday and departure the following Saturday, before 11:00am. The apartment should be clean and tidy on departure and this will give the professional cleaners time to prepare for the next guests.

House Rules and Information booklets:


All holidaymakers will find a copy of the rules displayed in the house. Please read and respect them for a happy holiday. The house is strictly non-smoking.

Responsibility:


We cannot be held responsible for the loss, theft or deterioration of any personal belongings.
We wish to remind you that you are responsible for the security of the accommodation during your stay and that you must be insured. Please close windows before going out and lock both doors.

Disability access: We are sorry the property is not suitable for disabled access due to the external and internal steps.

Eco advice: Please turn off the towel warmers and heating when not in use.

The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, is applicable in the European Union from the 25th of May 2018.

The processing of personal data may consist of collecting, recording, organizing, storing, adapting, modifying, extracting, consulting, using or communicating personal data as defined above.

Personal data collected

This could be :

  • Your details and your marital status (name, surname, date of birth, nationality, postal address, email address, phone number, car license plate).

  • The names of the people who are staying with you.
    In the case of minors, we collect, via an accompanying adult, only their name, first name, nationality and date of birth.

  • Information about your means of payment (credit card number).

  • Your holiday dates.

  • Your preferences during your stay (eg. orientation of the apartment, type of beds) and related activities

  • Certain restrictions that must be taken into account during your stay (eg. people with reduced mobility).

  • Your IP address, the browser you are using and your language settings.

  • The way you browse our website (pages visited, clicks).

  • Some of our establishments are placed under video surveillance for the security of people and property. Therefore, you are likely to be filmed.

When is personal data collected?

Personal data is collected:

  • When booking a stay for this property, whether this reservation is direct or via a third party agency, that it takes place physically, by mail, online or on the telephone.

  • During claims or litigations.

  • When participating in satisfaction surveys.

  • When subscribing to newsletters.

  • When connecting to our websites (IP address, cookies).

  • When viewing our pages on social networks.

  • When transferring some information about you to certain providers (e.g. banks for payments, routers for sending catalogues or marketing providers).

  • When images are captured by video surveillance.

For what purpose do we collect personal data?

Personal data are collected to:

  • Know you better.

  • Communicate with you.

  • Manage our relationship (bookings, special requests, during the stay, after-stay).

  • Carry out within this framework and with this objective, analysis and studies aimed at qualifying / enriching the customer database via a better knowledge of your interests.

  • Extract, analyse and combine data.

  • Establish statistics.

  • Manage any possible complaints.

  • Secure the payments you make.

  • Secure and improve the use and navigation on our websites.

  • Respect the legal and regulatory environment in which the holiday-let operates (response to a request from the authorities, handling of disputes, monitoring of compliance with applicable regulations).

  • Prevent fraud.

Our Data Protection Commitments

  • We will not collect information that is not strictly necessary for the conduct of our activities, for the satisfaction of our customers and for the improvement of our products and services.

  • We will not collect so-called "sensitive" information relating to: the allegedly racial or ethnic origins; political, philosophical, religious opinions; union membership; sexual orientation; health conditions; genetic or biometric data; criminal offenses or conviction.

  • To limit as much as possible the number of personnel having access to personal data. To initiate in-house awareness campaigns on the protection of your privacy.

  • To keep data only for a duration compatible with the purposes of the treatment or with our legal obligations: 13 months for cookies (from the last login), 5 years for other personal data (from the last transaction), 1 month for images captured by video surveillance.

  • To guarantee at any time the right to exercise the rights held concerning your personal data:

In this case, you will be asked to provide identification in order to exercise your rights.
The deadline for us to respond to a completed request is 2 months and the administration fee charged will be £25

For example: setting up firewalls, using Secure Socket Layer technology on credit card payments, setting up passwords on all computers with access to personal data.

Data collected by us will be solely securely stored in the United Kingdom with Yodel Yvoire and French Connections, it might be passed on to a concierge service.

To make sure that the providers (marketers, hosts, marketing providers etc.) to which we transfer your personal data, strictly respect the regulations of the GDPR.
